Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)

As the E-learning section of HSUHK’s Centre for Teaching and Learning, our mission is to provide innovative and effective teaching and learning solutions to enhance the education experience. A key aspect of our strategy is the implementation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in collaboration with the ITSC. MOOCs are an increasingly popular form of online learning that offer students access to high-quality education regardless of their location or background. we have developed more than 15 MOOCs in collaboration with HSUHK teaching staff. These courses cover a wide range of topics and are designed to enhance the learning experience of our students. Through our MOOCs, we aim to promote lifelong learning and support our students’ growth and development.

Currently, we offer two platforms to our students and staff.

HSUHK MOOC

The HSUHK MOOC, also known as Internal Online Courses, is a platform that is exclusively available to HSUHK staff and students. This MOOC is based on the OpenEdx platform and offers students access to a range of courses taught by HSUHK’s experienced faculty.

Public Edx MOOC

The Public Edx MOOC is a platform that is open to anyone interested in expanding their knowledge base. Students have the flexibility to choose from various courses and can learn at their own pace.
