HSUHK Innovation Project Competition 2023 – Workshop Series #1: A Sustainable Campus with Smart Innovative Technologies

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (E-Learning Section) hosted a skill-based workshop titled. “A Sustainable Campus with Smart Innovative Technologies” as part of the Innovation Project Competition 2023. The workshop held on February 16, 2023, drew significant attendance of about 60 students and staff members who were eager to learn from the guest speaker, Mr Nathan Lee. As the Solution Consulting Manager of DIGIQAL, Mr Lee is an authority in sustainability and smart technology, and he delivered an enlightening talk that emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and how the use of innovative technology could make campuses sustainable.

During the workshop, Mr Lee presented various examples of how smart technology solutions could be used to enhance energy efficiency and reduce waste on campus. The participants found the session informative and thought-provoking, and they were enthusiastic about exploring the possibilities of implementing such solutions at HSUHK. The workshop was a significant step in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable development within the campus community, and it underscored HSUHK’s commitment to creating a sustainable campus.

HSUHK is consistently working towards achieving its goal of creating a sustainable campus, and this workshop was one of several efforts towards that end. It provided a platform for the HSUHK community to learn and have a better understanding of how to achieve sustainable campus operations with smart technology and solutions.
